Who We Are: Solutions Safety Services, Inc. was incorporated in November of 2001 when Southern Mills, Inc. purchased Southern Laboratory, Inc. of Chalmette, Louisiana. Solutions effectively is a new company with new ideas, new innovative approaches, and a desire to be the leading care and maintenance provider for the fire services industry. The past experience of Southern Lab combined with the high-energy approach to marketing our services and supplying the fire industry with unsurpassed quality and support, will be our driving factors to pushing us to succeed as the industry’s supplier of choice for PPE care and maintenance.   Our History:   Southern Laboratory was established in 1986 as the first cleaning and repair facility for the fire services industry. While the first operation was set-up just outside of New Orleans, Southern Lab has since started operations in Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Southern Lab built their reputation on a customer focused approach. While much of the success was built around the gulf coast region, Southern Lab moved to the west coast with the same company values for success. It was the values seen within Southern Lab that made it a perfect match for Southern Mills, thus forming Solutions. Southern Lab is a solid start to the national market approach that Solutions has planned. Our Plans:   With ten sites planned throughout the United States over the next year, Solutions intends on being the major player for care and maintenance on the national scene. Solutions offers services to the municipal, industrial, aviation, and military markets. Through the Solutions Advantage Packages, we will be able to offer a specialized service for each fire department tailored to the individual needs and requirements.
